Quotemaker—e-Con’s guided selling
When e-Con Solutions provides customers with a quote, they work with a tool known as the e-Con Quotemaker to calculate software pricing. Quotemaker uses functionality a bit like Guided Selling, with questions/prompts about how the customer will use e-Con, and pulls current information from our pricing lists to calculate an accurate and current quote. After the quote’s complete it’s saved in a preferred format and then attached to the customer record in CRM, so that all sales teams with rights have access to the most recent and accurate quote.
Now, our favorite motto for e-Con is “If you’ve got data, we can configure it.” So when quotes need to be modified, users can simply click the configure button and the previous version of the quote pops up in e-Con. All changes to the quote can be made and saved in e-Con, and e-Con will also ask the user whether the changed or unchanged version should be active. In most cases, we select the last option, but there’s always the option to make the earlier quote active, if information is needed or a customer simply decides to go with the first proposal. This feature eliminates double data-entry and makes sure every detail is retained.
