Via the Dynamics Client or Browser
If you’re working on a desktop computer or laptop and logged into Dynamics, you can launch e-Con directly from Dynamics. Simply hit the “configure” button and add the quotation area, ordering area, or any other area you want to deploy. e-Con also can be launched via browser, a nice option for salespeople who work at a desk with customers.
For example, if you’re building a quote, you simply fill out the questionnaire. After the configuration is finished you can print, mail, and store output that can include the quote, order, BOM, routing, and other documentation. You’re working with e-Con, and e-Con is working “under the hood” with Dynamics. When a sales representative submits an order via e-Con, e-Con processes this order within Microsoft Dynamics. e-Con generates all documents needed for production or fulfillment and updates Dynamics in real time.

Self-Service: e-Con Portal
If you’re working B2B with frequent resellers, dealers or partners, e-Con offers a portal–based environment they can log into and use to build quotes and orders themselves. All information is always current and complete for products, services, pricing, timing, and other variables. Using e-Con’s questionnaire format, they can create a quote, then print or mail the quote and all related documentation to the customer.
When the customer approves the quote, the user simply hits “Process” and the quote appears as an order in the Dynamics database. The need to request or correct information vanishes, and your dealers and partners work as one with your organization. As soon as an order is sent, e-Con automatically updates Dynamics, and you can start production/fulfillment. Using the portal, dealers and partners can also verify quotations status, review configurations; create, manage, and generate documents and select, copy, and create new versions.
If you sell directly to customers across multiple channels, e-Con connects with e-Commerce platforms so that you can incorporate it with your web shop. Customers can configure offerings easily, and tailor them to whatever preferences you offer. They’ll have a compelling experience, with real-time visualization and pricing in a responsive UI that adapts to any device.
Once the configuration is finished, e-Con will close and the web shop basket updates all necessary information. Purchase and payment of goods goes through the web shop, and the order, including BOM and routing if needed, appears immediately in your Dynamics database. Working with e-Commerce vendor Sana Commerce, we offer a standardized, flexible connection that enables you to easily sell complex offerings via a web shop or portal.
e-Con’s Offline Client application can run on portable computing devices, equipping salespeople to work effectively with e-Con if they’re not connected in real time with Dynamics. The Offline Client can be installed on a laptop in minutes, and if a salesperson does need to go offline, they’ll work with the latest information and updates available, in near–real time.
As soon as they reconnect with the server, all data and configurations synchronize automatically across e-Con and Dynamics. Salespeople can effortlessly stay current. They’re always working in the same application, and there are no manual uploads or data re-entry. Orders and anything you configure land in Dynamics as soon as you re-connect, along with BOMS, routings, specs, and other documentation generated by e-Con.
